Studying in Indiana after having been raised in the mountains of central Europe, Matt felt the pull to return to the hills. After founding Paine Group in 2006 while still in University, he came to Bozeman in 2008 and has not looked back since. He takes a community-focused approach to development, looking at each site from the perspective of how it could most benefit the community first. Outside of work, Matt has been dedicated to raising his daughter, traveling (it’s research!), and pursuing whatever mountain sport is in season.
